This book follows the story of Mark and Sophie's story.
Mark has returned home after serving in the army straight from school. He is also a father to a wonderful 9 year old little girl. Home is the place he came back to so that his daughter could have a nice play to grow up in but the reality is mark retuned home because of the pull of his past and one person in particular.
Sophie own the bakery in anneoplis. She is a selfless women who since her mother died has put everyone before herself. She stayed home to make sure all her siblings had a good upbringing and someone there to support them even at the expense of her own happiness.
These two have a beautiful and painful history. One with terrible communication but their connection and chemistry is undeniable and they struggle to fight it.
I loved the dynamics between all the characters involved in this book it was a wonderful read.
