This book was gripping. I could not put it down always wanting to know what was going to happen next becuase the characters just make you fall in love with them and their story.
Gracie is a dreamer, but she is loyal to her family. When we first meet her she is getting prepared to get married only to find out that her fiancée and long term friend who she has grown up with has stolen from her and her parents. Knowing she can't marry him or face everyone she runs only to run into a hard chest that elicits feelings she never felt for her fiancée.
Jaime is the grooms best friend and sent to look for the women the groom knows will run. However on finding out what his friend did to this beautiful and kind women and her family. He helps her escape, gives her somwhere to stay and can't help but notice that this women helps him see and feel the light in his very dark tunnel of guilt.
The connection between these characters is seriously sparkling from the second they touch. Jaime has a little girl Kinny is just adorable and funny so loveable. Whilst at the ranch Gracie finds herself her true self the person she wants to become and soo much more yet that guilt always holds her back until Jaime lets her in a little more.
Jamie has a past of guilt his friend got hurt and he blames himself. He uses his guilt as a weapon to protect and a way for him to feel safe all until Gracie shows him how to live, live and feel.
This was an incredible story and I can not wait tp read more of your work Erica.
