This is the first book in this goodbye Duology and Jesus is it an incredible book.
Nola is an amazing author and I have had the privilege to read all of her Sons of Sin series and loved them all. This is another extension of the amazing character's we know and Love and i swear Nola never fails to create a book that isn't incredible. This is seriously legendary, yet again.
Just so you know there is a HUGE cliff hanger at the end of this ready for the next book. truthfully no fore warning will prepare you for it.
This book follows the story of Henry, we know him as one of the security detail and a good friend of sons of sin and Liam however. we get to know more about Henry, his back story and we get to right back with him. Henry is a child who's father failed to recognise him as his own and instead decided to paint henry and his mother as the evil within his life story. Henry's life hasn't been easy, his mother died and he was sent to Kentucky to live with his grandparents, he was boy fighting against the evil in the small town and acted out. Which landed him going into the Marines rather than jail.
In the marines he became a man, a man who harbours the guilt of the lives lost but it made him stronger and a better man. on one night of his return to Franklinton, at their usual lake fire party he meets a mysterious young women who sets his heart alight. She is feisty, raw and real and one thin leads to another.
When we first meet Ashleigh she is only just turning 17, she is strong willed, real, takes no crap which gets her in trouble but she is a beautiful charismatic character. She goes to the lake party much to her own desire to not. She keeps the men at bay, doesn't let them fondle her but when Henry is placed Infront of her she cant help but be attracted to him. the chemistry is palpable throughout with these two and that she looses her virginity. even though Henry doesn't remember.
This two meet a few times over the years and Ashleigh keeps her secrets close to her chest in order to try and protect Henry from her father and the law and the town. But secrets have a way of coming out and then we hit a huge cliff-hanger of what is to come and I can not blooming wait.
This book will have you gripped throughout. the characters will grip you and you will feel every emotion that is poured into their story. Do not miss out on this. Its amazing.
