Thank you to Josie and Monica for putting this book up for free I downloaded it straight away.
I read the blurb for this book and immediately knew it was for me and I wasn’t disappointed. Its a dark mafia prequel. We get to meet Valentina who is in a rough spot with her abusive fiancé who she detests whilst living in her fathers house who is also abusive to her, she tries to make the best of the bad situation and protect her cousin Rose as that’s her lifeline/best friend who she loves dearly. Sal is a nasty piece of work he works for Valentinas father and thinks he can do what he likes when he likes.
We also meet Adrian who is supposed to be a “monster” but he was nothing but charming and nice to Valentina when she met him and he gave her his number and told her if she ever needs any thing to call him.
This was a great taste of what’s to come and I can’t wait to get stuck into my arc now I’m raring to .
