Goodbye Is A Second Chance is a lovely book that touches on subjects that may be hard for people to read but the manner in which it is shown and presented brings soo much light to the subject and gives out understanding of how the victims can feel that you cant help but not only be grateful that the subject is brought out but also admire the writer for writing it.
Josephine is a woman, who was bullied in school causing her to have many insecurities throughout her life. It affects everything she does including the relationships she forms, has formed and has left behind. She has lived a life to please her parents that is until everything falls apart and She goes running to New York.
Angel is the Bass player in an up and coming rock band out on their first tour and becoming a huge success but one look across a crowded diner and then again in a changing room whilst preparing to film their video brings the past and all the questions he has held off to the surface.
Both these characters have many questions for each other and the journey they find themselves on leads to many problems that are faced with in life. This book could be a trigger for some as drugs and bullying are featured so bear that in mind if you do read this book.
I really enjoyed the book and felt the story itself was meant to be told. My only issue is that at some points there was soo much detail that I felt myself slipping away from what was actually being said and then on other things the detail would be soo minimal that you were asking yourself what the hell happened. This does not distract from the story though and it really was an enjoyable read that will give you an insight into how events in life can change the way we are as humans.
