ImmortaLily Rise by G.E Byers and J.W Collins

Thank you for sending us a copy of your book to read. This is a genre I haven't delved much into and it was a good experience.

Immortality is about a 17-year-old girl who is struggling to control her emotions. She has lived a very sheltered life because someone is always trying to kill her. This is told many times to her by her uncle, who she has lived with since she can remember as her mother died in childbirth. Lily knows that if when she loses control of her emotions, the fire in her literally burns, as her whole body lights up in flames. Lily's Grandad wants her dead and when she wakes to find her uncle Killed she goes on the run, only to realise the people she thought were her house help were actually her Wolfling guardians.

Lily and the Wolflings head to America to get away from her grandfather and to keep her safe. Lilly finds out the truth of who and what she is. She also gets to meet the family she never thought she had and comes across people who she finds she can't trust. Whilst in New Orleans and the closer to her eighteenth birthday her powers grow considerably and lily has to use them more to defend herself and when events endanger everyone lily has to understand the importance of why she was born and her purpose.

This book is a genre I haven't really read much of, to be honest. I enjoyed it to be fair my only critique for this book was that I found it very inconsistent as to when it was good and events were happening it was really gripping and I couldn't stop reading but when it wasn't, I got a little bored and found myself almost skimming the pages. for me, the best part of the book was the last 40% as the story really picked up and I couldn't take my eyes away

My Overall Rating is 3 1/2 💋💋💋😘

Passion 2 💋💋
