This book follows Byron and Odette. Byron is an ex soldier who got 4th degree burns on his back when a bomb went off whilst he was apart of the SEAL team. Byron has built his buisness and life and his mothers inheritance helped although his father is an absolute peice fo work. His father uses his children for his own political gain and in this instance costs Byron the live of his life and their child.
Odette is a student doctor when we first meet her. Working in her fathers hospital as help. She is strong willed and can be stubborn but she always is careful in whatever she does and has dreams for her career. When Odette is sent in to care for Byron she thinks he is a dick becuase of his grumpy persona but once he finally leaves she can't stop going back to the depths of his eyes until she sees them across the bar and he offers her a night she will never forget and that he does.
Odette and Byron go years without seeing each other thanks to Byron's father and his awful acts. But their chemistry,love and desire for each other never crumbles and when faced with the harsh realities they have inform of them these two only get stronger.
I loved this book and was hooked from the very first page these characters are incredible and will keep you wanting to delve into their story further. Amazing.
