I love a good historical romance and this is certainly a good one.
Eliza's father is new to the upper elite in London and has risen into the elite through his business the London Times. being apart of high society is not something Eliza enjoys or wants. she was content with her life before London.
Eliza loves to write and before her father's business boomed some of her work made it into his paper. Eliza loves the truth and the facts. she is an amazing writer and wants more to her life than just being married and birthing children.
However her father has other ideas for her. he wants her be what women of the elite should be.
Eliza is strong, determined and doesn't mix her words. when she finds out her father has already secured her a husband. she is not happy but goes along with it. until the dark and mysterious man of Belmore Square arrives and puts her into a spin. Jonny is everything she should not desire. Dark dangerous and has secrets he is trying to uncover after being outcast and accused of killing his own family.
I absolutely loved this historical romance. every single character that you come across in this book makes you love them and the story keeps you reading wanting to know what happens next. this is just another way in which Jodi Ellen Malpas shows how amazing her work is.
I absolutely loved Eliza's brother and sister, they are pivotal characters that aid in keeping you wanting to know more not just about Eliza and her story but also their own. I seriously can not wait to read more of Jodi's historical romance novels and i will certainly be re-reading this.
