Thank you K.K. Allen for sending us a copy of your book to review, we are soo grateful.
Over the moon is a story of hidden secrets, a troubled football player and a woman on the run. Its starts with a tiny glimpse into some of the secrets that are being kept from anyone and everyone, a young girl who's life has been completely turned upside down and a wicked stepmother who just wants money.
The new and grown-up Silver is a nurse at Camp Dakota, she has lived there for eight years since running away from her old life, her identity and the hell that was her wicked stepmother. She has built a wonderful life for herself at the camp but keeps herself pretty guarded especially where men are concerned.
Kingston (or king as he likes to be called) is a troubled football player at the height of his game but has lost his way in life. He uses alcohol, sex and fame to his advantage but one night out becomes too much for his coach to let it continue. After bailing him out of jail Coach gives Kingston his punishment a month at Camp Dakota (unbeknown to him)
When these two first meet they can't seem to figure each other out other than the fact there is something there. King loves Silvers Sass and the fact that she doesn't treat him like a celeb, she tells him how it is and uses hate for him to cover her desire. These two unravel in a slow burn but the secrets they keep could threaten the future they both desire.
This book was enjoyable, but for me, it was a little too slow burn and a little long-winded in getting to the nitty-gritty but truthfully, the banter between these two characters had me reading every word and had me laughing a hell of a lot. it was enjoyable and I would recommend anyone give this book a true chance as it was thoroughly entertaining.
