This book firstly is the Ninth in the Royally Unexpected series. If you haven't already checked out the other books in the series you really need to. Start with Bad Prince and work your way up, to Lone Prince, Ice Queen and now Rogue Prince.
SO Lilian sent this ARC out for an honest review and that is what I will give, I have read pretty much all of Lilian's books and always look forward to what she has in store and this book seriously delivered.
Prince Silas is the brother of Queen Penelope of Nord. He is a sinfully sexy man who is also known as the playboy Prince., his antics as a grown-up have been getting drunk get fucked and repeat on a daily basis, but this prince in reality is just a normal man who is using those things to hide the failures he feels in himself and of his Dyslexia.
Jazz is an intelligent and strong-minded Journalist who writes strongly about taking down the monarchy and how much of an inconvenience they are but her reasons for the way she feels is based purely on her past experience with those of the most elite.
Her friend Rhea forces her to a fancy dress party on Halloween dressed as Miss piggy where she unexpectedly meets her Kermit. (this bit made me howl with laughter) On realising eventually who they both are they can't deny their attraction to one another but also can't deny that they can't be together because of both of their beliefs in the monarchy.
Silas makes too many mistakes for the queens liking and pushes him to step up as Prince so sends him on the 3-month royal tour, where Jazz is also heading. Jazz is stronger at denying her feelings and continues to try and keep her distance from the prince but it becomes completely impossible because the Prince makes sure of it.
Their story takes you on a magically romantic journey of discovery within themselves, their pasts, present and future. so when the unexpected happens they have to decide both individually what will happen next.
Seriously I was completely hooked from the beginning of this book, it kind of helped that the front cover looked so god damn incredible and HOTT but from the first page you are drawn in and cant wait to follow the story and see where it leads. my only critique and it is a small critique because this is an amazing book is that the ending felt like it happened too quick and then the epilogue felt a little rushed with getting all the information we would want to know out of it.
The truth is I am and will read this again and so should YOU!!
My rating for this is 4 1/2 💋
