This is the first time I have read a book from this author. Ruthless Saint is a Mafia romance book but to me, I didn’t really see where the mafia side of the story was coming from, yes there was some killing of people and families at war but other than the odd mention here and there of mafia families I couldn’t quite understand the mafia connection. This coming from someone who reads quite a few mafia books. However, that being said I did enjoy the story itself. At times I felt that some of the info given could have been taken out and replaced with something else for instance the story could have given a little more insight into the deal surrounding the marriage deal for Amelie and Wilder.
The story follows Amelie Page and Luca DeSantis. Amelie is to be married to Luca's brother but during the ceremony, he is killed and Luca saves her life by knocking her out the way. Later for a deal to continue the family says she still needs to marry so Amelie marries Luca.
It's not all sweetness and light as she doesn’t know this brother. They have to adjust to each other. But Luca really starts to get feelings and wants Amelie for himself and they have to be whisked
away to his mothers land to get away from the madness happening around Wilders murder.
Overall I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next instalment.
