This is the 2nd book in the Tech boys series and boy.
This book follows the Amazing hacker that is Fabian. He is slightly dishevelled as a grown man, pumping who knows what drugs into his body as an experiment to himself and taking risks that seem to always end up with him in the ER. Fabian had a troubled up bringing, his father was a drunk and beat his mother to death literally. His brother died of a overdose and Fabian has lived with the guilt of not being there for his brother more.
The ER Is where he first meets the wonderful Kate. She is an attending doing a Rotation on the ER in order to pass and become a doctor. But she is struggling with the rotation struggling with the quick pace and having to think 100 miles a minute. When Fabian wakes up and rather than being condescending and giving him a lecture she helps him a spark ignites in both of them only they never think they will see each other again.
Janus, Fabians best friend from college. the person he turns to when he needs help, someone to talk to anything ends up re igniting the spark in these two. Kate is Jo's best friend and after they invite Fabián and Kate dinner not knowing they have met before everyone is shocked at how much the sparks fly between these two.
When Kate asks Fabian to attend a family wedding just to annoy her parents things heat up further between the pair and a weekend together is the start of a sexy and passionate relationship. But life is not that simple especially with these two twists and turns, Hackers on the search and everything in between bring these two to their knees but a connection like they have is tough and this story was really lovely to read.
The characters in this were really good it took me a bit to connect with them but as soon as i did was hooked. I wanted to know everything that unfolded and how their lives became more intertwined. At times i found myself laughing out loud and others I could feel the emotion. My only critique would be the ending. the story told such a good tale that the ending left me reeling but it was fabulous story.
