So I pre ordered this book because I lived Louise's work and needed me a Scottish fix after Annie's story.
Byron is Blythe sister from Diondare. Byron works in the RAF and is coming towards the end of his time with them. He is strong confident,cocky but a women from his past who he hurt when they worked together haunts him. He needs to apologise and make things right with her. So when said women ends up on base while he is away it gives him the perfect chance to reach out and find her to apologise.
Rosie is a strong willled women,her time in the RAF was a time she would rather forget. When Byron made a fool of her it not only hurt her but scarred her knocking her confidence. So when she arrives home to find him doing jobs in the josie for her father her whole world gets tilted on its axis.
These two have a really strong bond and connection even though they were hurt by the past situation they find a way to look past it. They have plenty to deal with as life throws them many harsh and cruel curveballs but sticking together seems to be what helps them most.
This was a sweet, emotional story with many issues that some may find triggering abuse, cancer,death but it was a good read overall.
