This is novel is a hockey love story but one with history wrapped within it.
In this we meet Molly. A young girl who has the hots for her brothers best-friend, she ha watch Finn for years with women hanging off of him and even dabbled in making him drool while she makes with with either a man or women but Molly knows that her brother has put a marker on her, one that says Finn is to never go anywhere near her.
Finn is a hockey star, who can play with the big boys, he has watched molly grow up, he has helped her when she has had her heart broken but mostly he has loved her since the very first time he laid his eyes on her from across the pool.
Finn has a troubled history with his family one that Molly had spent nights helping him deal with by just being there for him. But when the temptation is always right under their noses its not long before they have to give into those desires.
I loved the chemistry between both characters and the slow unveiling of the true history they have between each other and Molly is a true badass, who's humour really shines through in this book and had me laughing out loud at times.
This story has soo much within it that you just can not help but want to continue reading. We touch on a few tough subjects whilst reading this book, abuse and cancer but it is dealt with amazingly.
I cant wait to read more of this authors work as this was a lovely read.
