This is Elizabeth's first book and boy was the name fitting.
from the very beginning of this book i knew it was going to be something different, something special.
The story takes on hard hitting subjects and the characters face such hard times that it really does make you stop and realise how lucky we are.
Ava is a young woman who has faced such huge losses in her life. she lost both of her parents and her younger brother all within a few years of each other. She struggled to stay afloat and worked her bones off making sure she could at least pay the bills sometimes its just not enough as she found out. Ava becomes homeless but doesn't let this keep her down she goes out in search of a job until they cant say no, even if it pays pittance. she is kind caring and everyone loves her because of the person she is.
Whit is a single dad to the most amazing little girl, Lily who i freaking adored from the very first meeting. Whit is also a big Rockstar who wants to make music but also be the best father he can be after being abandoned by his father at a young age and Lilly's mother leaving them high and dry. Whit struggles to open up and let people in but when you are in that's it you are all in.
These two have a one night stand not sharing names or numbers just enjoying themselves for night but unfortunately or fortunately this night leaves them with more than they both bargained for.
I wont give anymore away as to what what happens with them as i feel this book really does deserve you to take a chance and read it. its always the unexpected that happens in this book and leads you needing to know more.
Thank you Elizabeth for allowing me to read this book. you had me laughing and crying at different times. the emotion was so heartfelt and every single event hit with the right amount of love, passion, sadness or excitement. incredible I can not wait to read more of your work.
