Let me begin by telling you I had seen this book on Facebook for weeks before I received the ARC and this book did not disappoint.
Sienna Blake is an absolutely incredible writer and this book seriously shows off her skills as a writer. This book is the 7th and Final book in the Irish kiss series and if you haven't already looked at this series you really need to. this book can be read as a standalone but is a great follow on from the others as well.
We meet Michael at the beginning of his career as a hotshot business lawyer who is working every hour he has put everything into his work having nothing but work to live for and when we meet him he is at his very own promotion party and is the most miserable he has ever felt but can't figure out exactly why. When he sees Abbi trying to break into the linen closet he uses this to his own advantage but seriously has no idea what he has let himself in for.
Abbi is a free spirit, travelling the world on her dead parent's inheritance. walking into hotels and preparing to be part of the waiter staff to gain food and drink for a short time. she walks in and proceeds to be invisible just as she likes it until Michael spots her. she uses every excuse she can come up with at that moment but when Michael asks her to unlock the door and let him in as well so he avoids being taken back to the party she complies because he makes her feel visible for the first time and a little more alive than before.
They both enjoy an incredible weekend of drinking and dancing and in the end, making love as neither has experienced before but the fears of Michaels past which he left, come back to haunt him
whilst lying n bed next to Abbi. so he does what he thinks is best he runs. He runs back to a life he knows how to control and is recognised as the top of. leaving a very hurt and confused Abbi behind to figure out what went wrong and why she was left.
Abbi is left to close off her heart and pick up the pieces left behind after Michaels exit but when she finds out she is pregnant she tries to contact him only to hear a closed-off cold-hearted man and puts then[hone down before she speaks to him.
10 years later Michael goes to Denver to help in the tale over of a company only to find his new assistant is the one and only Abbi. As soon as she sees him at the airport she freaks and drives off leaving him alone and her trying to fight back the feelings he stirs in her and the hurt he has caused. she blocks off her feelings so well her daughter has no idea what is going on.
I don't want to go into too much detail of what happens next because its something you should read for yourself. This books will have you feeling every single mention. It will make you cry and also want to shake the hell out of the characters, not only that but you will laugh your head off at some points but you seriously go on an incredible journey to rediscovering love and happiness and seeing that the past is something we can't control but the power is in the way we live our present and prepare for our future.
Go and read Michael, Abbi and Zaras story. You will not be disappointed it is out now!!!!
